Burglary 9th April - offender detained

Around 23:30 hrs 09/04/19 a report was received by police regarding a burglary in progress, London Road, Charlton Kings, between Inglecote Close and Ryeworth Road. Officers attended and the force helicopter was deployed. As a result one offender was detained and investigations are ongoing to identify further offenders.
The police were alerted by a member of the community who saw torchlight and heard noises in the neighbour’s garden. It is thanks to the vigilance of this neighbour that police were able to make an arrest.  Therefore this is  reminder to all to please call the police if you notice anything suspicious or anyone acting suspiciously in your neighbourhood – and to look out for each other, particularly if people are away on holiday. Furthermore local PCSO's are more than happy to attend and carry out a crime prevention survey of your home; for this to be arranged, please send an email with details to: 101@gloucestershire.police.uk
